Business Analyst: Working in conjunction with other Business Operations personnel, the Business Analyst (BA) will act as a liaison between business operations, sales, strategic programs and other departments to deliver process and system improvements and provide meaningful reporting. The BA will gain a thorough understanding of Red River's business processes and systems and will have significant opportunity for growth. Comprehensive knowledge of data retrieval mechanisms and a focus on data integrity will provide the BA with the foundation to succeed. As a valued team member the BA will assist on many projects where accuracy and timeliness are of the utmost importance. The BA will work with the business capture and sales teams on tactical RFP and RFQ preparations, creating and populating complex excel files.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Assist in evolution of dashboard metrics based on sales, purchases, project management, and contracts data
Create and maintain reports, report subscriptions, and permissions
Analyze data to ensure continuity of reporting and processes in released systems
Assist with requirements gathering for development projects
Assist in resolving issues and administrative tasks in Business Systems tools (ERP, SharePoint, Commissions, MS Office, etc)
Contribute to project and process documentation
Creatively analyze data to present new analyses to management proactively
Create excel models for tactical RFPs and complex RFQ submissionsSupport the building of a complete, flexible catalog solution
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Classes or previous work experience in finance, accounting, and software applications is desired
Candidate must be analytical and have high attention to detail
Strong Excel knowledge and familiarity with other database applications like SQL or Access is critical
Some travel to VA based satellite office may be required
