Assistant - Sanitation & Inspection
Actively looking for a Sanitation and Inspection Assistant in the Claremont, NH area.
This is a full-time, first shift opening offering $18 - $19/hour.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Inspect beef and pork carcasses for contaminants Spray down carcasses and/or place in cleaning cabinet Perform final wash station for hogs and beef Properly place and separate carcasses, moving them along the rail into the cooler Sharpen knives properly and maintain sharp knives through the day's work Follows all relevant GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), including quality, cleanliness, safety, and USDA guidelines while working in the facility.
Maintain a clean and safe work area Bring up all relevant production or related issues to team or lead as needed Work with the team - ask for help when needed and offer help when available Receptive to changes and feedback and open to learn and/or improve as needed Participate in team's problem solving activities, look for and bring solutions to problems Reliable and consistent in all aspects of the job Manage SRM's properly and dispose of rendering, blood, and trash properly Maintain productive working relationship with USDA staff Maintain productive and open communication with colleagues and superiors.
Requirements:
Required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach Lift, move or transport up to a maximum of 60 lbs Temperatures range from heated/cooled office space, outdoors, and ambient temperatures in a barn and on the floor Attire will include Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, steel or composite toed boots, etc.
